Method 3: Run the System File Checker command

Step 1: Go to Home at the desk and type Symbol of the system in the search box.


Step 2: Right-click on the result and select Run as administrator from the menu, to open Symbol of the system in administrator mode.

Step 3: A Command Prompt (Admin) window, run the following command and press Log in:

sfc / scannow


Now as the process takes a little longer, please wait for it to complete. It will automatically detect corrupt files and repair them right there.

Restart your PC and the error message should no longer appear. But if you keep getting the error then follow the fourth method.

Method 4: Run the Check Disk Utility

Step 1: Go to Home at the desk and type Symbol of the system in the search box.

chkdsk c: / r
