Fixed Edge not working on Windows 10. Like any other Windows update, the recent Creators Update is also flawed. Don't be surprised if your Microsoft Edge doesn't perform as well as it should. These 4 simple solutions will solve your problem:
Method 1: perform a clean boot
The first solution to any problem is to restart your computer, but performing a clean boot increases the chances of a solution. Run the PC with the minimum required drivers and programs.
1) Open the file Start menu and search System configuration.
2) Click Services tab, make sure you have selected H.ide all Microsoft services and click Disable everything.
3) Right-click on taskbar and open the file Task Manager.
4) Click To boot tab and individually select and deactivate all items in the list.
5) Close the task manager and system settings window e start again your computer.
6) If the above steps don't work, find further assistance below.
Method 2: reinstall Microsoft Edge
An installation error could cause Microsoft Edge to malfunction. Reinstalling should fix the problem.
1) The right mouse button on the Windows 10 logo in the lower left corner of the screen and click Windows Powershell (administrator).
2) A pop-up window will appear with administrator permissions, click Yup.
3) Copy and paste the following command into the PowerShell window.
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$ ($ _. InstallLocation) AppXManifest.xml”}
4) Wait for the process to finish and try opening Microsoft Edge again.
Step 3: Use the Group Policy Error
1) On your keyboard, press the Windows key and R together.
2) Type gpedit.msc and press OK.
3) From the left side Computer Configuration> Administrative Templates> Windows Components. In the Windows Components category, click Application Package Deployment.
4) On the main screen, double-click Allow distribution operations on special profiles.
5) Click Enabled. Click Apply and OK.
