Method 1:
Detect the build version of Windows 10 in WinVer
- Gender "Tasto Windows + R“On your PC / laptop.
- The Run dialog appears.
- Enter the following command "winver“On the command line.
- The following command will generate the path to the "About Windows dialog" of the current build of Windows 10.
- In this dialog, you can see the build version of Windows 10. The build number is displayed next to the version of Windows 10.0
Method 2: with CMD
Detect the build version of Windows 10 from the command prompt
- Type "Windows Key + R" on your PC / laptop. The Run dialog appears.
- Enter the command "cmd". The command prompt dialog will appear.
- The first line in the command prompt will show the Windows 10 version along with the build number.
More detailed information can be obtained by pressing the following command line mentioned below:

'Systeminfo' contains information about the operating system and its hardware properties.
The rest of the information can be omitted and the relevant data can be viewed using the following command (if you specifically want the build number only):

Method 3: with registration
Find the Windows 10 build number in the registry
The Windows 10 registry contains all necessary information related to application software, system software, hardware and programs of the operating system. The functions of the registry are similar to those of a database. To detect version information, please follow this method:
Type "Windows Key + R" on your PC / laptop.
The Run dialog appears. Type "regedit" in the command line. This will open the Registry Editor.
Proceed to the following registry key described below:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows NT -> CurrentVersion
In the right column, you can extract all the information about the build number and version of Windows 10.
