Many users have reported an issue where they cannot open hyperlinks sent by email. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the problem was specific to the MS Outlook application and not to the mail server.

However, this case may be isolated. Try opening the email via your system's default browser. If it works fine there, the problem is with the MS Outlook desktop app itself, otherwise it is with the browser or mail. In case it doesn't work in your browser as well, try opening it in a different browser or on a different system. Try checking other emails that have hyperlinks. This will most likely work, unless you are on an untrusted mail server.

The underlying causes of the problem could be many, so we should solve it sequentially by isolating and eliminating all possibilities of the problem:

Fix 1: change the registry key

1. close DCM in the Windows 10 search box and right click on it and Run as administrator

2. Now, run the following command one by one in the command prompt window.

REG ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareClasses.htm /ve /d htmlfile /f REG ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareClasses.html /ve /d htmlfile /f REG ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareClasses.shtml /ve /d htmlfile /f REG ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareClasses.xht /ve /d htmlfile /f REG ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareClasses.xhtml /ve /d htmlfile /f

3. Now close the Command Prompt window and reopen Outlook.

Solution 2] Check for problems with the mail server

While this issue was isolated in preflight, we could discuss it here. If the hyperlink does not work even after changing the browser and checking another email, the problem could be with the mail server. Some famous companies like Gmail, Hotmail, etc. they are reliable, but many other local businesses may offer services without the functionality to open hyperlinks. In this case, the problem cannot be solved by us.

Once you have isolated this possibility, continue with the next steps.

1] Press Win + R to open the file run window. gender control panel and press Enter to open the Control Panel window.

2] Go to Programs and features. It would show the list of installed programs.

3] The right mouse button on him Microsoft Office packageand, then select Change.

4] Select Repair >> Continue and then perform the repair process.

Restart the system once done.

Solution 7] Remove the Microsoft Office client and reinstall it

If a simple repair doesn't work, remove Microsoft Office from your system and install it again. Simply uninstalling from the control panel may not be enough.

1] Go to the link Here and download the scraping tool provided in option number 2.

2] Run the tool and it will remove all Microsoft Office components from the system.

3] Reinstall Microsoft Office from disk or online. The same key could be reused if it is still valid.

I hope this helps!
