Windows Spotlight is my favorite Windows 10 feature. It feels really nice every time I log into my computer, I think you think the same too. But most people don't know that the Windows spotlight isn't just a background feature, it's an advertisement that often has a link to the product. Windows Spotlight extracts the images from Bing and automatically sets them as the background image.

Still, it's a great feature and most Windows 10 users use it. However, many users have reported that their reflector is not working and they or they are left with old images of the reflector. If you're facing the same problem, don't worry, we've got you covered. Here, we have put together two methods by which you can re-enable Windows Spotlight on your computer.

Method 1: Windows Powershell command

STEP 1 - Press windows Y io at the same time, it will open Settings. To choose Customization from the main menu.

STEP 2 - Click Screen lock in the menu on the left.

STEP 3: Make sure you have selected Windows in the foreground a background. Close the Settings window.

STEP 4 - Press windows Y X simultaneously and select Windows Powershell (administrator).

STEP 5 - Click Yup in the message.

STEP 6 - Click the following command in the file Shell Power and press Pay.

Get-AppxPackage -allusers * ContentDeliveryManager * | foreach {Add-AppxPackage “$ ($ _. InstallLocation) appxmanifest.xml” -DisableDevelopmentMode -register}

STEP 7 - Restart your computer.

Method 2: reset Windows Spotlight

If your Windows Spotlight crashes on an image or doesn't update the image library, resetting the spotlight settings can fix this problem.

STEP 1 - Open Settings by pressing windows Y io keys at the same time. Please select Customization in the main menu.

STEP 2 - Select screen lock.

STEP 3 - In the Background option, choose Photography o Company introduction (any option other than Windows Spotlight).

STEP 5 - Type the following address in the text box and press Enter.

% PROFILO UTENTE% / AppData Local Packages Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy LocalState Assets

STEP 6 - Select all files in the folder with Ctrl + A and then press To delete. It will delete all old images.

STEP 7 - Open the Run box again by pressing windows Y R buttons simultaneously.

STEP 8 - Type the following address in the text box and press Pay.

% PROFILO UTENTE% / AppData Local Packages Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy Configuration

STEP 9 - Right click on the file settings.dat and rename it to settings.dat.bak

STEP 10 - Right-click on the file roaming.lock e rinominalo in roaming.lock.bak

STEP 11 - Restart your computer

STEP 12 - Repeat step 1 and open Customization settings.

STEP 13 - Choose Windows Spotlight in the Wallpaper option.

STEP 14 - Lock your PC by pressing windows + L and check it out Windows in the foreground is working.
