Fixed - Credential Manager error 0x80070057 "The parameter is wrong": - It has a digital locker for Windows passwords. Credential Manager saves all associated usernames and passwords very securely. All these passwords are securely linked to your profile. But sometimes you may not be able to manage web passwords with Credential Manager as it might be thrown away Error code: 0x80070057. Error message: The parameter is incorrect Error message. If so, you can try the following two methods to solve this problem.



Method 1: using services.msc

1 STEP

  • print WIN + R keys together to open the file run the dialog box. When it opens, type services.msc and press the Enter key.

2 STEP

  • Find the entry named Credential Manager from Services window. When you find it, right click on it and then click Property.

PHASE 3

  • As follows choose Manual from Start type drop-down menu and press the button Home button. When finished, press To apply Y ok buttons. That is. Check if your problem has been solved. If not, go to 2 method.



Reboot the PC.

Method 2: using File Explorer

Warning: Performing the following steps will remove all saved web and app passwords. But this can solve the problem with Credential Manager.

Step 1 - Open your file explorer and go to the path given below.

C:Users%UserName%AppDataRoamingMicrosoftProtect

STEP 2 - You will see a folder here.

Solo To remove this folder

3 pass - Reboot the PC.
