Gmail how to delete all messages based on a date
Open Gmail on your browser by logging in with your account.
Now type in the Gmal search field (the white bar at the top with the blue magnifying glass) before:aaaa/mm/gg (e.g. before: 2017/06/10) to group and view all emails received before 10 June 2017.
This message will appear
All [number of emails detected] conversations on this page are selected. Select all conversations that match your search
By clicking on "Select all conversations that match your search" you will select all emails.
At this point you can decide whether to click on
- Delete (the trash can button at the top). When you click delete your emails will end up in the trash. They will be available in the trash for 30 days, during which time you can still decide to restore them and move them to your inbox. Attention because after 30 days GMAIL deletes the emails permanently and it is no longer possible to recover them.
- Archive (button with the box with the down arrow) When you decide to click on the archive button, the emails will still be in your mailbox but you will not see them in your inbox but in the "All messages" box. The emails will still take up space in your email, so if your problem is the space occupied it is not the best solution.
