Read this before starting
Gmail Offline can only be used with Google Chrome. You should never set it up on public or shared computers as emails are stored in your browser's memory. For some reason, if necessary, remember to delete the app when you are done as explained in a later section.
Of course, you need to have a working internet connection to set it up before you can use it offline. After setting it up, you can browse your emails, search, archive or delete them. You can also compose emails and queue them and they will be sent as soon as an internet connection is available.

How to get started with Gmail offline
Get the Gmail offline app
Open the Gmail Offline app in the Chrome Web Store. Click Add to Chrome> Add. Then, type chrome: // apps in the address bar and hit enter. Find and open Gmail Offline .
Enable Gmail Offline
The first time you open the app, you will be asked to allow offline mail.
Select Allow offline mail and click Continue . It will now start syncing your emails for offline use.
Configura Gmail offline
By default, past week's emails are synced. If you want to sync previous emails, click Settings icon a gear shape at the top right of the screen. You can choose to download emails from the past week, 2 weeks or a month . Click Apply per salvare I modified it.
In the same settings panel, you can choose to set up an automatic holiday responder. It is an autoresponder message that you can send as a reply to any email.
Since you're using Gmail Offline, there's a good chance you don't have access to the internet. If so, it's a good idea to set up Vacation Responder. Here's how to do it:
- Turn the switch on or off holiday auto responder in the ON position.
- Specify one start date it's a end date . The auto reply message will be sent as a reply to incoming emails automatically during this period.

How to access and use Gmail offline
To open the Gmail Offline app, type chrome: // apps in the address bar. Find and click Gmail Offline . Alternatively, you can drag the icon to the bookmark bar for quicker access.
The Gmail Offline app interface is based on the Gmail tablet interface. The interface has a double pane configuration. The left pane lists all incoming emails. To access other folders, click the menu button (three horizontal lines) at the top left. Here you can check the sent mail, drafts, trash, spam or filter emails using labels.
To search for your emails, simply type your search query in the search bar and press Enter. The Gmail Offline app does away with a lot of Gmail's features, but luckily you can still use Gmail's advanced search operators to narrow your search.
To compose a new email, click on the icon red dial . After typing your message and entering the recipient's email address, press Send . The message should now be queued in the folder Mail in take the exit (uscita) . The email will be sent as soon as the computer is connected to the Internet.
To reply to or forward a message, scroll to the end of the message. Here, click Reply to reply to the sender or click Submit to forward the email.
You can file o eliminate a particular email you can use the buttons in the top bar. To see more options, click on the small one icon shaped down arrow next to the Delete button. Here you can choose to move email to folder, label, mute, report spam , etc.
If you want to process multiple emails at the same time, select the emails using the checkbox next to them. Click Archive o Delete . Any actions performed will be synchronized with Gmail when your computer connects to the Internet.
How to delete Gmail offline
Removing the Gmail Offline app from Chrome is a two-step process. The first step is to remove all locally stored data. To do this, click on the button menu (three vertical dots) in Chrome. Click on Settings .
Scroll to the bottom and click Advanced . go to Content settings> Cookies> View all cookies and site data> Remove all . A confirmation dialog will appear. Click Erase everything to confirm.
Now that you have cleared your saved data, you can proceed with deleting the Gmail Offline app. To do this, type chrome: // apps in the address bar. Right-click on Gmail Offline and click Remove from Chrome .
