Many users prefer to make changes to their Windows operating system using the registry editor which allows them to view, create and modify registry keys and values ​​contained in it. The registry editor is basically a tool for making numerous changes to the Windows registry to customize Windows settings to suit your needs.

While it is possible to make changes to the Windows registry using Registry Editor, it is not recommended to do so as any incorrect changes can end up damaging your system. It is recommended that you make changes only if they are urgent, however even in this case you must first make sure to create a backup of the registry. This way, even if you end up losing some data, you can restore it immediately.

How to create a registry backup

Step 1: Go to archive tab at the top left and select Export give the menu answer.

Step 2: Now in Export log files select the location where you want to create the file Support for archive. For example, let's select the file Documents Position. You can select any position of your choice.

Now go to file name field and name it whatever you like. We call it how Support for.

Select the Save as type similar field Log files (* .reg). Click on Save.

You have successfully created a backup file for the Windows registry. If in any case you have lost any data, you can restore the registry data using the method shown below.

How to restore the backup of the registry data

Step 1: Go to archive tab at the top left of the file Registry Editor window and click import in the context menu.

Step 2: A Import log files window that opens, select the file Support for file and click Open on background.

Step 3: Now click Yup in the message to continue with the log data backup import process.

That's all. You have successfully restored the lost data in the registry.
