change your username on Twitter the first thing to do is undoubtedly to access your account using your login details (username and password), then clicking on the button Log in.
Press first on your photo, positioned at the top right and then on the item Settings and privacy from the drop-down menu.
On the page that appears, an Account section will appear and next to the item Username you can delete your username and enter a new one, preferring the one you want most (I recommend the minimum of characters is 5 and the maximum is 15). Wait for the name to be available: you will notice it from the green writing It's available! otherwise a red message will appear Username already used, which will force you to choose another name.
Remember to save by pressing the button Save Changes and then enter your password and press again Save Changes.
If you want to change the name displayed on your profile, log in to your account and click on your name and then press the button Edit profile. Well, now delete your current name present in the Name field and type in the new chosen profile name. Once you've finished editing, click the button Save Changes.
