If you've ever tried to delete an account online, you know that vendors don't always make this easy. Some only allow you to "disable" your account, while others have a mandatory cooling-off period where your account is in limbo. Fortunately, deleting your Google account is quick, easy, and painless.
How to delete your Google account
- go to .
- Enter your Google account credentials and click Log in .
- Go to Account preferences> Delete your account or your services .
- On the next screen, select Delete Google account and data .
- Google will ask you for your username and password.
- You will receive an email confirming the deletion.
- Click on the link to complete the process.
If you change your mind and want to recover your account, it may be possible if you act quickly. Go to and enter your previous Gmail address. If a recovery is possible, Google will notify you immediately or by email to your old backup address.
