Whenever you hover over an icon on the taskbar, it shows you a thumbnail preview. However, some users want it to be larger and more visible. having such a small preview is useless. The thumbnail preview can be easily expanded with a simple registry edit. Note that this trick is equally applicable to Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10. Step 1 - Press key Windows + r to open the run command box. Gender regedit on it and hit enter.


Step 2 - Navigate to the path shown below in the left menu of the registry editor.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> windows -> Current version -> Explorer -> Taskband

Now once you get to the task bar, right click and create a new DWORD (32 bit) value called MinThumbSizePx.



3 pass - Now, double click on it and create the edit value data to any value less than 500 pixels. Note that on average the default pixel size for thumbnails is approximately 200 pixels. So, to make it bigger, you need to set a value greater than this value. You can also enter a value less than 200 and reduce the size of the thumbnails.

Finally restart Windows to make changes to the account.
