The Microsoft Windows 10 operating system automatically downloads and installs updates in the background. It doesn't ask if you're about to download or install updates. However, if you are using a limited internet connection then it becomes problematic as it consumes too much internet data in the background.

To limit this Internet data used by Windows 10 updates, Microsoft introduced a new limit update setting in the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. So, read more about how to limit the internet data used by your Windows 10 operating system.

How to set a limit on the internet data used by Windows 10 updates

1 - open settings.

2 - Now, click on Update and security.

3 - Now click on Advanced options.

4 - Now click on Delivery optimization.

5 - Now click on Advanced options.

6 - Now, check all the available options and choose a minimum limit by dragging and sliding the slider on the three options, namely the download, upload and monthly upload limits.

That's all. Now the internet data used is chosen at least 5% of the bandwidth and the monthly upload limit is also chosen at a maximum of 5GB per month.

How to see how much internet data is used in Windows 10 updates

1 - Return to the previous screen.

2 - Click activity monitor.

3 - This screen will show you the amount of internet data used this month by the Microsoft website.
