In the following paragraphs we will see how to search for people on Telegram from smartphones and iPhones.
The steps
The operations that we see below are valid for both Android and iOS. To manage Telegram contacts and to search for them you must first open the application, then press on the hamburger menu at the top left (you see it next to the word Telegram) and select the Contacts item. At this point you will have to choose the desired contact, or search for it using the search button (i.e. the magnifying glass, located at the top right).
It is not the only possible method: we want to indicate at least one other. Open the application, then click on the search button (always the magnifying glass at the top right) and then choose the desired contact. If you look for it in the global search you will be able to see the ID of other users, groups or channels you want to chat with.
Once you have searched and above all found, you will also want add contact. To do this, open the app, enter the contact's chat, press on the contact's name or number (you see it in the banner at the top) and then click on the three dots at the top right and choose Add. Finally, enter the user's name and surname and confirm (just click on the tick. However, if you already know the user's name, you can simply add it to the address book.
