Solution 1: reinstall Edge

Here is a permission change you can make in your Windows PC's Registry Editor to fix Microsoft Edge opening and closing immediately.

Step 1: Press Win + R keys, then type regedit in the Run box that will open and click ok button.

Solution 4: Run the SFC scan

SFC Scan is a command line utility that can scan system files on your PC for problems and damage. If problems with system files are found, the utility fixes them automatically. Running the SFC scan will ensure that said file is not preventing Edge from running on your PC. That's how:

sfc / scannow
