Check if your PC has enough power to support Microsoft's new upgrade to Windows 10.

If you haven't upgraded to Windows 10 and are resisting, you are probably wondering if your PC is compatible with Microsoft's new operating system.

Note: This is for users with genuine Windows installed on their PC.

Windows 10 is Microsoft's latest operating system with several new features and many of the old ones in the process of being revamped. The user interface is designed to look sleek and elegant with all the use of its graphic display. Smooth transitions and animations, the ability to install third-party apps, and more for the price of higher specs and system performance.

While don't worry, the minimum system requirements for running Windows 10 are the same as for Windows 8.1.

Minimum system requirements for Windows 10.

  • Sistema operativo: “Windows 7 or Windows 8 / 8.1”
  • Processor: 1 GHz or more
  • Disk space: 16GB for 32-bit and 20GB for 64-bit.
  • Ram: 1 GB per 32 bit e 2 GB per 64 bit.
  • Graphics / video driver: directx 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 graphics card
  • Monitor / Screen: 1024 × 600

Here, I'll show you how to check if your PC is compatible with Windows 10 via the Windows update tool.
For this method to work, the latest Windows updates must be installed.
This is because due to the release of Windows 10, Microsoft has sent an update tool to all Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users to help them transition to Windows 10 easily.

This tool will only be visible after installing the latest updates from Microsoft for your operating system. Users with pending updates must update their PCs immediately to continue the process and view the update tool.

You might think the update tool is useless and annoying, but it does more than just give you a free copy and remind you of Windows 10.

Once you have installed the updates and the update tool visible on the taskbar below,

1- Click on the update tool and open the window.

This is the update tool and its introduction to Windows 10.

2- Click the icon in the upper left part of the window, three parallel lines, the icon to make the left panel visible.

3- Find Check your PC and click on it, in the left pane of the window now visible. The tool will now run another utility to check the compatibility of your machine.

Microsoft's utility to check your PC's compatibility with Windows 10 will now check your PC.

Once the utility is ready, it will display the result.

If your PC is compatible with Windows 10, a dialog box will appear with a message indicating that your PC is ready.

If your PC is not compatible, a similar dialog will open, stating the reasons and limitations of your PC, preventing Windows 10 from being compatible with your machine.
In the rare event that you can't get the update tool or update your PC, but still want to know the minimum requirements, they are listed below.

Note: The update tool will only appear on original copies of Windows. if you have a pirated version it won't work.
