Do you want your device to boot faster than before? So you have to enable a function called "Enable quick start“In the settings of your Windows PC. So how does this feature work?

Apparently, when you shut down your device with the feature enabled, your Windows OS saves all your system data in the current state and the data in memory in a special file, hiberfil.syse then shut down your PC. Then, when you turn on the device again, Windows reads the data stored only on the hiberfil.sys file and turns it on in the state and memory in which it was closed. This process allows the computer to power up much faster than it would with a complete shutdown.

Let's see how to check if the “Enable quick start” function is enabled or missing.

Solution: Use the command prompt

Step 1: Click on Home at the desk and type cmd in the search field. Right-click on the result and select Run as administrator Open Symbol of the system in administrator mode.

Step 2: A Symbol of the system window, run the following command and press Log in:

powercfg / hibernate on

This will fix the problem and you can now see the Enable Fast Startup option in Settings.

How to check if the Enable Quick Start function is enabled

Step 1: Click on Home on the desktop and select settings in the context menu, located above the file energia option.

Step 2: A settings window, click System.

Step 3: In the next window, click Energy and sleep On the left side. Now on the right side of the panel, go to Related settings and click Additional power settings Right away.

4 phase: A Power options window, on the left side, click Choose what the power buttons do.

Step 5: Go to Shutdown settings and now below you can see the file Enable quick start characteristic. It is darkened. Here it shows enabled, but in case it is not enabled, click Change settings currently not available at the top.

Step 6: It will render the fields below Shutdown settingsis active. Now, check the box next to Enable Quick Start (Recommended) to enable it.

Likewise, you can simply uncheck the box, in case you want to disable it at any time. Click on Save the changes to save changes and exit.

That's all. Now, the Enable Fast Startup feature in Windows 10 is back and active.
