If the computer restarts frequently for no reason, a Kernel Power 41 critical error may occur. The kernel is the core part of the operating system and its failure causes the computer to restart. You can check that you are facing this error in your computer's event log.

This error mainly occurs when playing games on PC. Sometimes this error also shows BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) error code 0x8000400000000002. We have compiled some methods for dealing with this situation.



Method 1: change the power settings

STEP 1 - Open the Run box by pressing windows Y R at the same time you write control in the text box and hit enter.

STEP 2 - Select Power options.

STEP 3 - Select It changes when the computer sleeps.

STEP 4 - Click advanced power settings.

STEP 2 - Select Power options.

STEP 3 - Select Choose what the power button does.

STEP 4 - Select Change the settings currently available. You will now see more options in the shutdown settings.


STEP 5 - In the shutdown settings, uncheck Enable fast startup.

STEP 6 - Click Save the changes.

Method 3: uninstall antivirus

Antiviruses are also the cause of the Kernel Power 41 error on your computer. If you have installed an antivirus on your computer, uninstall it temporarily and check if the error is gone or not. If you keep getting the error, your antivirus is not the cause. If your antivirus is the cause of the error, you need to change your antivirus to fix your problem.

Method 4: updating the BIOS

To update your computer's BIOS, you need to download the update from the manufacturer's website. Download the latest BIOS version available for your computer and open it for installation. Read the instructions carefully when installing a BIOS update to avoid any other BIOS-related problems.
