Windows won't start on your computer? Are you throwing an error code? Status: 0xc0000098 'along with a long error message starting with "Windows failed to start."Declaration? The problem is related to the boot configuration data on the computer. To fix this error, all you need to do is follow these simple solutions on your computer.

You'll need bootable installation media (or the Windows 10 DVD you installed Windows 10 from). If you don't have one, you need to create bootable installation media. After creating the bootable installation media for your device, you can proceed to the main solutions.



Fix-1 Rebuild boot configuration data-

Rebuild Boot Configuration Data (BCD) on your computer.

1. Insert the installation media you created (or the Windows 10 installation DVD).

2. When the device boots, simply enter a key from the keyboard to boot from the DVD drive.

3. Click on 'The next".

4. Select the option "Repair your computer".

5. When you see "Advanced options“, Click on it.

6. Now you need to click on "Symbol of the system“To access it.

7. You need copy paste this single line of code in the Window System Symbol file then knocks Log in. This will rebuild the boot configuration data on your computer.

8. To fix the root boot directory, you need to run bootrec / fixboot.

bootrec / fixmbr bootrec / fixboot

Close Window system symbol.

9. By clicking on "Turn off your PC ”to turn off the computer.




You have to wait a bit.

11. Next, what you need to do is unplug the Windows 10 installation drive from your computer.

12. Start your computer and Windows 10 will start normally.

MBR Fix-2- Repair

Repairing the Master Boot Record file on your computer can fix this problem.


1. Insert the Windows 10 installation disc and then click "The next".

2. In the lower left corner of the Recovery Environment file, click on "Repair your computer"

3. Then click on "Advanced options".

4. You can easily access the "Symbol of the system“Selecting it from the Advanced Options menu.

5. To repair MBR, copy paste this command in the System Symbol window then knocks Log in.

6. When you see the message "The boot code was successfully updated on all target volumes".

Close Window system symbol.

Turn off your device.

Start your computer and Windows 10 will start normally. Check if the problem persists or not.
