Having trouble connecting a USB device to your computer? None of your USB devices work on your computer? If you have recently upgraded your computer to Windows 10 and are facing the same problem, you are not the only one.

Many users face this problem. Regardless of which USB device you connect, your computer will not detect it. We have found the solution to this problem. We will show you several ways to solve this problem. Do this one by one until the problem is solved.



The reason for this problem can be anything from outdated drivers to incorrect settings. Therefore, to solve this problem, you may need to go through a number of methods. Start with the first method and try each one until you can use the USB ports again.

Work method: -

1 - Disconnect the charger and power supply from the laptop.

2 - Restart the laptop.

3 - Reconnect the USB device to the laptop.

4 - Connect the charger and power supply to the laptop.

This should fix the problem. If not, please perform the following methods.

1. Check the power saving settings

Windows 10 tries to save energy by turning off USB drivers when they are not needed. You turn them on, only when they are needed for your use. But sometimes this doesn't work the way this windows 10 power saving system is supposed to work and the computer won't turn on the USB drivers.

This could be a problem for you too. This method has worked for many users. Follow the steps mentioned below to perform this method.

Step 1. Right-click the Start menu button and select Device administrator.



Step 2. Expand Universal Serial Bus control devices

Step 3. Look for the first one Home connection for USB. On some computers, it may only be one. Right-click on it and select Property.

5. Disable Fast Startup

Windows 10 starts very fast and this happens thanks to the new Quick Start feature. But sometimes the computer does not detect some devices during startup because there is not enough time. This may have caused the problem. In this method, we'll disable Fast Startup and see if that fixes the problem. Follow the steps to perform this method.

Step 1. Right-click the Start menu button and select Power options.

After restarting your computer, plug the USB device into a USB port and check if it now works. If it still doesn't work, go back to the shutdown setting and enable fast startup as it doesn't cause the problem and helps your computer wake up quickly. After that, follow the method below.

6. Disable the USB selective suspend setting

Many users have reported that simply disabling the USB selective suspend setting worked for them. In this method we will do the same and see if that fixes the error. Follow the steps mentioned below to perform this method.

Step 1. Right-click the Start menu button and select Power options.

Step 2. Bottom Related settingsclick your Additional power settings.

Step 3. Now go to Change your plan settings of the selected plan.

4 Phase. Please select Change the advanced power settings.

Step 5. Search for USB settings and expand it. Here, change the file USB selective suspend settings to Disabled. Now click ok.

Check if this solves the problem. If not, perform the following method.

 

7. Change of registration

In this method, we will make some changes to the computer registry. Before playing with the registry, you need to backup the registry. After that, we will continue with the method. Follow the steps below to do that.

Step 1. Right-click the Start menu button and select run.

Step 2. Here, type regedit and click okay.

Step 5. After deleting them, reboot.

After restarting, check if this method solved the problem or not. If it didn't help, follow the method below.

8. Solve the problem

In this method, we will try to fix the problem by solving the problems. Windows will try to fix the problem on its own. Follow the steps mentioned below to perform this method.

Step 1. Go to Cortana and type Solve problems. Select the same from the results.

Step 2. Click on Hardware and devices.

Step 3. Windows will look for problems. When finished, click To apply Automatically repairs o Apply this fix, whatever appears.

4 Phase. Restart your computer.

This should fix the problem. If the troubleshooter didn't help solve the problem, try the following method.

9. Install important updates

If none of the aforementioned methods worked for you, perhaps there is a major Windows update pending and installation could fix the problem. Because? Because Microsoft regularly releases updates with fixes for many bugs and errors, and the solution to your problem may be there. Follow the steps to install important pending updates (if any).

Step 1. Right-click the Start menu button and select settings.

Step 2. To go Update and security.
