Microsoft, like every month, he published a cumulative update, including various patches that should solve various problems encountered by users. However, not always everything goes in the right direction, given the wide range of devices and configurations spread all over the world and, apparently, several people have had some inconveniences caused by the patches. KB5012592 per Windows 11 e KB5012599 di Windows 10.

Apparently, the two updates, featured within the April cumulative update, are expected to fix various bugs, improve the stability and interface of Windows Search, add a couple of options for more control over notifications, and more. As reported by colleagues at Windows Latest, a number of users have complained on Feedback Hub and Reddit about some problems, such as failure to install with generic error messages 0x800f081f, 0xc1900101 and 0x800f0988, which could indicate that the systems on which you are trying to install "not compliant" with the patch for various reasons.

The Redmond company said the situation can be resolved by simply rebooting the system or performing a complete shutdown by holding down the "shift" button before clicking the shutdown button, which closes all applications and disconnects all users. In addition, you can manually install the updates by downloading the relevant .msu packages. We also remind you that, in case you encounter performance problems after their installation, you can always uninstall the patches manually via the command prompt or Settings.

A little less than a couple of weeks ago, we reported that Microsoft is working to implement third-party widgets in the appropriate Windows 11 panel and it seems that this functionality is already in the testing phase.
