How to block / uninstall problematic updates and drivers: - Gone are those days when you had to select independent updates for each individual driver and process. Microsoft, when Windows 10 launched, A new option was included where drivers, regardless of our decision, are automatically downloaded and updated. Indeed, it is invaluable as there is no need to choose new updates for everything and the system can keep up with the latest features, sometimes it is even possible that not all systems are working equally well.

Even if you try to uninstall the problematic Windows update, the next time a new update is available, Windows 10 will reinstall it by itself!

Therefore, we present here the steps on how to uninstall drivers that often cause automatic update problems and how to prevent Windows from reinstalling them temporarily to keep your system up to date.

Unnecessary updating and removal of drivers

Step 1:

Choose the Device Manager option from the search menu

Step 2:

Scroll down the options available under them and right-click on the device causing problems.

Step 3:

Choose the Uninstall option and be sure to check the Delete the driver software for this device option in the dialog box that appears.

Click the Start menu and choose the View Installed Update option.

Block temporary reinstallation of drivers via Windows Update

On top of Windows 10, Microsoft added a new tool called Troubleshooting tool then you can hide and show updates and drivers.

Below are the main steps to get the “Show or hide updates” troubleshooter.

Step 1:

You must then download Show or Hide the Update Troubleshooter from the Microsoft Download Center.

Step 2:

Open the .diagcab file in your downloads folder and run it. The next button as shown.

Step 3:

Select the Hide updates option and select from the list that appears, updates and drivers that you do not want windows to reinstall.

Step 4:

Once completed and if everything went well then aRepaired ' The label will appear to the right of the chosen option.

Step 5:

Run the Show / Hide Updates troubleshooter again and select Show hidden updates option

Step 6:

Clicking on The next again, it shows the correct updates.

Step 7:

Close you need to click the button to complete the whole process.

Once the whole process is complete, the updates and drivers will be available through Windows Update for installation.
