Often, it is necessary to reinstall Windows and request a product key for activation. But starting with Windows 8, manufacturers don't provide the product key label on the back of the laptop, they embed it on the motherboard. Today I will show you how to extract the product key from your genuine Windows laptop. The software we will use is called RWAll
WARNING: This software allows you to change your hardware settings, this can damage your system if something goes wrong. The author assumes no responsibility in this regard, you are at your own risk.
The laptop for the demo we are using is a Dell laptop. I have only tested on Dell laptops, I have not tested the other. However, it should work fine.
Download the software:
32 bit http://rweverything.com/downloads/RwPortableV184.108.40.206.zip
64 bit http://rweverything.com/downloads/RwPortableX64V220.127.116.11.zip
The file is almost 4 MB in size, once downloaded open the folder. As this is a portable version, there is no need to install it. Open the Rw.exe file
Now, in the ACPI table window, go to the MSDM tab
So there you are codice Product Key in front of DATE.
This tool is useful when you format your entire notebook and need the product key. Although other software such as product key etc. can also be used, they will extract the product key from the installed operating system and not the motherboard. If your laptop is not reinstalled with any other operating system, you can opt for the other applications. But if for some reason you have installed another operating system, for example Ubuntu, and you have wiped the entire Windows operating system, this tool is useful when installing Windows. Note that in addition to finding the product key, this software is very powerful in extracting the motherboard details. It will also allow modification. So be careful when playing with other details.
