No one in their wildest dreams can think of a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) affecting their Windows system. It is one of the most feared mistakes you can encounter and sometimes even the end of your system. One such error is the blue screen of death error "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE“In Windows 10.

Whenever you see this error, your computer restarts automatically with the error message that appears every time it prevents your computer from starting normally. The main reason behind this error is a damaged or outdated graphics card driver. However, you may also see this error when too many programs are running in the background or due to a sudden restart. Whatever the reason, it's scary.

Fortunately, we have a couple of solutions for you that can help you get rid of this error. Let's see how.

Method 1: via command prompt

Step 1: Navigate to Home and in the search box, type cmd.

Step 2: Right-click on the result and select Run as administrator in the context menu.

Step 3: Open the Symbol of the system in administrator mode. Now copy the following command and paste it into CCommand message window. Hit Log in:

powercfg -h off

Now you can restart your computer and you shouldn't see the error anymore.

However, if the error persists then follow the second method.

Method 2: via the control panel

Step 1: press the Win + R keyboard keys to open the file Run command.

Step 2: A Run command search box, type powercfg.cpl and press press ok to open the file Power options window in Control Panel.

Step 3: A Power options window, go to yours Selected floor and click to open Change your plan settings.

Step 5: It will open the file Power options the dialog box. Now go to Configure the wireless adapter and expand it.

Then expand Energy saving and select Maximum energy savings for both Into the battery e Connected options.

Method 3: updating the video card

Step 1: Right click on Home and select Device administrator from the menu.

Step 2: A Device administrator locate the window Video cards and expand it.

Right-click on the adapter and select Update Driver.

Step 3: Then click Automatically searches for drivers.

If a newer driver is available, it will automatically detect and update it, then let it complete the process.

Now, restart your PC and you should see more errors and the blue screen of death.
