Some Windows 10 users complain of a blue screen error on their computer immediately after receiving an update for their Windows 10 devices. The error code displayed on the BSOD occasion is "WDF_VIOLATION". This error is usually caused by a driver named "HpqKbFiltr.sys“, Name change that will solve the problem. Follow the fixes on your computer and the problem should be easily fixed.

Fix-1 Rinomina HpqKbFiltr.sys in Windows RE-

To change the name of "HpqKbFiltr.sys“You have to open Windows RE first, so you can change the name without going through some cmd commands.



1. After opening the window settings file by pressing the Windows + I icon.

2. Now click on "Update and security".

3. Then you need to click on "Recovery".

4. Next, in "Advanced Startup ', click on"Restart now".

Soon your computer will boot into Windows RE.

5. You need to click on "Solve problems".

6. Then select "Advanced options".

7. When the Advanced Options window opens, click the "Symbol of the system".

8. Simply enter your account password and click "Follow".

System symbol window should open in Troubleshoot mode.

9. To change the name of the system file, under Window System Symbol, copy paste these commands one by one, then press Log in.

C: cd C: WindowsSystem32drivers ren HpqKbFiltr.sys HpqKbFiltr.sys.bak

After running the commands, close the System Symbol window.


Restart the computer returns to normal mode.


If the problem persists, look for the next solution.

Fix-2 Rinomina MacHALDriver.sys-

MacHALDriver.sys might be another reason why you ultimately face this problem.

1. Open the Recovery Environment windows As before.

2. You need to click on "Solve problems".

3. In the Troubleshoot window, you need to click on "Advanced options".

4. Then click the "Symbol of the system".

5. You must enter the password and click on "Follow"Continuation.


System symbol window should open in Troubleshoot mode.

6. You have to rename the "MacHALDriver.sys.bak"archive.

7. To do this, run this series of commands in the terminal CMD.

C: cd C: WindowsSystem32drivers clean MacHALDriver.sys MacHALDriver.sys.bak


After running the commands, close the System Symbol window.

Restart the computer returns to normal mode. Your problem should be solved.

NOTE: -

You may notice that some of the function keys on the keyboard don't work.

Fix-3 Rimuovi driver HpqKbFiltr.sys-

If renaming the controller doesn't work, removing the controller might be your only option.

1. Open Windows RE again.

2. Then click on "Solve problems".

3. Then what you need to do is click on "Advanced options".

4. In the Advanced Options window, you need to click the "Symbol of the system".

5. After entering the account password and click on "Follow".

7. In Window System Symbol, copy paste this command and then press Log in to run it on your computer.

dism /Image:C: /Remove-Driver/Driver: c:WindowsSystem32driverstoreFileRepositoryhpqkbfiltr.inf_amd64_714aca0508a80e9aHpqKbFiltr.inf

NOTE: -

If you are using an 32-a little windows copy paste this command in the System Symbol window then knocks Enters.

dism /Image:C /Remove-Driver /Driver: C:WindowsSystem32DriverStoreFileRepositoryhpqkbfiltr.inf_x86_f1527018cecbb8c2HpqKbFiltr.inf

After running the command, close the Window System Symbol file.

Restart the computer in normal mode.

You will not face "WDF_Violation”Blue screen error on your computer.

Your problem should be solved.
