Most Windows 10 users complain File browser crash problem. People affected by this problem when they try to open a folder or drive, File Explorer crashes abruptly. Now here are some quick fixes to fix the problem.

Method 1: - Change the display settings

Step 1: - Search screen settings in the Start menu search box.


Step 2:- Now, click on Display Settings.


Step 3: - Now, Resize text, apps and other elements 150% or 200% or 100%. But don't let it stay at 175%.

If the problem persists (or its size is already 100%), try the next method below.

Method 2: - Clear Windows 10 File Explorer history

Step 1: - Go to the control panel by searching for it in the start menu

Step 2: - Not found File Explorer Options in the search box.

Step 3: - Clear the file browser history

Method 3: - Run the folder windows in a separate process

Step 1: - Go to File Explorer

Step 2: - Click on see Tab, then click Folder Options.

3 pass: - Now, click on the View tab and then select Start the folder windows in a separate process.



Phase 4: - Finally, click Apply

Method 4: find the culprit app and uninstall it

Step 1: - Immediately after File Explorer crashes, look for the event viewer in the search box on the start menu.

Step 2: - Now go to Windows Logs -> System

Step 3: - Now look for the error marked in red and look for the click on it. This will contain details of the culprit process or application. Get rid of it.

Final report: - Please note that this is not a crucial application / file that you are uninstalling or removing. Anyway, before doing this, take a system restore point.
